BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Faisal Gulzar has been with UChenab since July 2023, where he has contributed significantly to the academic arena. During his tenure, he has taught Pharmacology & Therapeutics to 3rd semester Pharm D students and Research Methodology & Special Problems to M.Phil. first semester students. Before joining UChenab, Dr. Gulzar held the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Lahore, Lahore. During his tenure, he imparted knowledge across various subjects to Pharm D, M.Phil., and Ph.D. students. Specifically, he taught Pharmacology & Therapeutics (I-IV), Clinical Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, Physiology, Pathology, and Anatomy to Pharm D students. Additionally, he instructed M.Phil. students in Advanced Pharmacology and Research Methodology & Special Problems, while delivering Advanced Pharmacology and Antineoplastic Drugs courses to Ph.D. students. Dr. Gulzar obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Sargodha in 2021, which was awarded under the Indigenous Fellowship Batch II sponsored by HEC, Pakistan. His research focuses on evaluating risk factors for the occurrence of breast cancer in Pakistani women, through collaborations with the University of Sargodha, PINUM Hospital Faisalabad, and the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE), Faisalabad. He also participated in an IRSIP fellowship (10 months) funded by HEC, Pakistan, in 2015, at the Institute Bergonie, INSERM U916, Bordeaux, France. He holds an M.Phil. degree obtained in 2012 with distinction and a Pharm D degree earned in 2008 from the University of Sargodha. Furthermore, Dr. Gulzar possesses extensive experience in conducting independent research and thriving in collaborative environments. He serves as a reviewer for both national and international journals, including the Journal of Cancer Policy, BMC Women’s Health, Journal of Population Therapeutics and Clinical Pharmacology, Eastern Mediterranean Health Journal, ecancermedicalscience, Natural Product, and Current in Pharmaceutical Research
