BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Farooq Islam, a Physical Therapist graduated from the country’s pioneer institute namely College of Physical Therapy, Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre, Karachi back in 2008. He joined one of the best clinical organization of Pakistan, Agha Khan University Hospital for elective training in Physical Therapy Department. He then came back and joined King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore for his post-graduation from 2009 to 2011. Immediately after graduating from KEMU, he joined Fatima Memorial Hospital (FMH) as Demonstrator/Physical Therapist and served there for almost two years. He then got attached with The University of Lahore, main campus, Lahore in 2013 till 2017 where got promoted as Assistant Professor. During his stay at UOL, he did his Master of Science in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy MS OMPT from RIPHAH International University, Lahore Campus in 2015. In 2017 he joined University of Lahore, Gujrat Campus as Assistant Professor/ clinical in-charge and was Promoted as Head of Department to date. Currently he is doing his PhD Physical Therapy from University of Lahore, main campus, Lahore. He has always been interested in teaching from the 1st day of career. He has taught various course throughout his teaching career but he has been so brilliant in Biomechanics. He remained quite popular among his students with his friendly attitude and behavior towards them. Apart from this typical insight of his personality he has great love for some art work like mobile photography, calligraphy as well as restoration of various old items. Blues and greens has always been his favorite colors and is evident in his personality as well. he is a great friendly personality and ready to help and tries to resolve the issues when somebody approaches him.
