BIOGRAPHY
With a wide background in academics (PhD in English, Linguistics) and experience that is more than 25 years including more than thirteen years of post-PhD, Dr. Khan is currently serving in the capacity of a full Professor in English Department, The University of Chenab, Gujrat, Pakistan. Previously, he served at The University of Sargodha, Lahore Campus, Lahore Leads University, Lahore, Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Preston University, Islamabad, Kinnaird College, Lahore, Imperial College, Lahore, University of Gujrat, Sialkot Campus etc. in the capacity of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor & Lecturer. Academically, he has been teaching courses related to meaning in language (Semantics, Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis) along with various ELT courses (Functional English, Reading & writing skills, Communication skills etc.) and literary and critical theory. His research publications fall under diverse categories of ELT, discourse studies and literary theory in both national and international journals. During his career, Dr. Khan has also been working in managerial positions i.e. head of the department, convener research committee, patron of a society in the university, Director of Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, Focal Person of Academic Excellence etc. He is also an active member of Linguistic Association of Pakistan (an official body of Pakistani linguists). He has also been the HEC Approved PhD Supervisor along with various HEC certifications like CALL (Computer assisted language learning, curriculum development and teaching methodologies etc.
