BIOGRAPHY

My name is Nadeem Akram and I am honored and humbled that I have joined the profession of Teaching. I earned my Master of Philosophy in Applied Linguistics. Currently I am doing my research work of Ph.D. in English. Major area of research is Linguistics. I attended undergrad at Punjab University and received a Bachelor Degree in Arts as well as in Education. I also attended Allama Iqbal Open University and got Master in Education. Previously, I also got Master in English Literature from University of Lahore. My first teaching job was at Oriental Public High School and I taught English and Mathematics. I was also was the Principal of the school. In addition I coached women’s Tennis. My teaching philosophy is very simple students do not care how much how much you know, until they know how much you care. I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are and embrace the differences of others. Furthermore, my teaching philosophy is to make each training session as interactive as possible. I believe that an interactive curriculum is more memorable.I use tactics such as role-playing and competitive quiz games. Nevertheless, I believe the classroom is a living community and that everyone, from the principal to the students parents, must contribute in order to maintain a positive atmosphere. Last but not least, I think that all Students are individuals, and everyone learns in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, auditory, kinesthetic) to reach students so that no one is left behind. I show my caring by forming relationships with my students and trying to help them find their dreams and strengths so they can believe in themselves the way I believe in them. Either way they are the future and have unlimited value. I was the first generation in my family to attend college and was once a student just like the ones I teach and somebody believed in me. (My high school coaches Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf, and Muhammad Sharif) I say thank you for believing in me and I am paying it forward.
