Dr. Zulfiqar Ali is the professor in Department of Technology, and a renowned civil engineer himself. During his career, he has taught in University of Engineering and Technology Lahore from 1986 to 1992. His major interests are hydraulic engineering, water resource engineering and management. After UET Lahore he worked as a campus coordinator in University of Engineering and Technology, Faisalabad. After this he joined University of Lahore as an Associate Dean and now, he is the Head of the Department of Technology in The University of Chenab, Gujrat. He also worked professionally as the chief executive in Leads Engineering Service Pakistan (LESPAK). He has supervised research for plethora of students and taught variety of subjects like fluid mechanics, hydraulics, irrigation engineering, elementary structure analysis, plain and reinforced concrete, hydraulic engineering, hydro power engineering, and hydraulic structures. He has done two degrees of BSc, one in the combination of physics and mathematics and the other in civil engineering and later his Masters in structural engineering from UET. He achieved his doctorate degree from University of Newcastle, U.K. He has done a great deal of work on barrages, air vent in spillway, water management and hydraulics.
