BIOGRAPHY
Ayesha Kainat is an Optometrist and academic professional currently serving as a Demonstrator in the Department of Allied Health Sciences at The University of Chenab, Gujrat. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Optometry and Orthoptics and is currently pursuing an M.Phil. in Optometry at The University of Faisalabad.Her academic and clinical interests encompass comprehensive eye care, refractive error assessment, binocular vision, ocular health, contact lenses, optometric instrumentation, and evidence-based clinical practice. She has gained clinical experience in eye-care settings, where she has been involved in patient assessment, refraction, binocular vision evaluation, ocular health screening, and patient counselling.Alongside her clinical practice, she is passionate about teaching and developing the practical and clinical skills of undergraduate optometry students. Her research interests include retinal health, tear film assessment, visual functions, and ocular manifestations associated with systemic health conditions. She is currently working on her M.Phil. research focusing on retinal health, tear film, and visual functions in patients with anemia with and without thrombocytopenia.Ayesha Kainat is committed to integrating academic knowledge with clinical practice and aims to contribute to the development of competent, ethical, and patient-centred optometry professionals through teaching, clinical training, and research.
