BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Muhammad Azam is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Sciences, The University of Chenab Gujrat. He earned his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the Centre of Excellence in Solid State Physics, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 2018. He worked on experimental and theoretical studies of metal oxides. Plus, he has vast exposure to work in the experimental side; synthesis as well as characterization of nanomaterials like perovskites and spinels. Achievements He is also working on the first principle calculations using Density Functional Theory (DFT). Well, he currently focusses on superconductivity in transition metals, their carbides as well as nitrides, 2D material and Hydrogen adsorption. Dr. Azam is one of the active faculty members of Physics, teaching Quantum Mechanics, Solid State Physics, theory of Condensed matter Physics and Optics. Meanwhile, he has published several articles in reputed journals. Plus, he has also presented a large number of talks to international conferences in Pakistan and abroad.
