The Department of Physical Sciences is one of the primary departments of The University of Chenab. The Department realizes its responsibility to ensure the long-term and result-oriented exuberance of Mathematical Sciences, that it should foster the development of mathematicians as future scholars, teachers, researchers, and organizational leaders. The department of Mathematics offers you the degree that will gear your strong mathematical ability and commitment enabling the courage to explore the utmost passion for mathematics. The Bachelor of Science Honors in Mathematics is an undergraduate specialization degree that aims at integrating and deepening the knowledge and prowess in mathematics. It further develops students’ capacity to conduct supervised research. The basic objective of the department is to provide the students with the latest developments associated with mathematics and its latest technologies. Moreover, it aims at helping the students to design and develop a strong background in the fundamentals of Mathematics.
The Department of Mathematics is continuing to get information and gather innovative ideas; used to improve class teaching and professorial assignments as well as to motivate curriculum changes. The BS and MPhil programs offered in Mathematics are formulated to the Scheme of studies approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan to meet the national and international standards.
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics develops and articulates a real process to evaluate and understand the numerical and graphical information in the course and society at large. The expertise of the instructors always immaculate applications of mathematics in problem-solving, finance, probability, statistics, geometry, population growth. The Department of Physical Sciences offers programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in pure mathematics and applied mathematics.

As mathematics major, you will be thoroughly trained in classical mathematics, in addition to being exposed to ideas on the cutting edge of current research. Your training will include the use of the latest technological tools, and you will have access to the department’s computer labs, equipped with workstations and the latest mathematical software.
