Hina Iqbal is a Clinical Head at the University of Chenab, with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Optometry and Vison Sciences. She is actively engaged in clinical optometric practice, academic supervision, and undergraduate teaching.
Her primary teaching focus is Ocular Physiology, with an emphasis on developing a strong conceptual understanding of visual and ocular function among students. Her academic and clinical interests include binocular vision, convergence insufficiency, strabismus, digital eye strain, and visual fatigue associated with modern screen use behaviours.
She is also engaged in research in vision science, with current work addressing variations in exophoria in convergence insufficiency with excessive screen time, visual fatigue related to doomscrolling behaviors among undergraduate students, and alterations in visual function in patients with thalassemia. She is committed to evidence based clinical education and improving standards in optometric training and patient care.
