Rida Zanib is a nutrition and dietetics professional, researcher, and academic specializing in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, and Therapeutic Nutrition. She completed her BS in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and subsequently earned her M.Phil in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Lahore (2019–2021).
She is also a CORU-registered Dietitian, reflecting her professional commitment to recognized standards of dietetic practice. Currently, she is serving as a Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at AHS-DNS, University of Chenab Gujrat, where she contributes to undergraduate education and the academic development of students in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
Her professional experience includes clinical practice as a Hospital Dietitian, where she gained practical experience in nutritional assessment, dietary counseling, therapeutic diet planning, and the nutritional management of patients with various health conditions. Her clinical background has strengthened her ability to integrate evidence-based nutrition with patient-centered care.
During her M.Phil research, she investigated the proximate composition of Nigella sativa and its effects on hyperlipidemic women. This research developed her interests in clinical nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, functional foods, nutraceuticals, medicinal plants, and the dietary management of metabolic and cardiovascular health conditions.
Her academic and professional interests include Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Therapeutic Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods, Public Health Nutrition, and the nutritional management of non-communicable diseases. She is particularly interested in research that explores evidence-based dietary interventions and the potential role of functional foods and bioactive compounds in improving health outcomes.
Through her combined experience in clinical practice, research, professional dietetics, and higher education, she aims to contribute to the development of evidence-based nutrition education, clinical practice, and research in the field of Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
