Dr. Hussain has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels, delivering core courses such Experimental Physics, Nanotechnology, Laser Physics, Electrodynamics, Classical Mechanics, etc. He has played a key role in establishing and developing the BS Physics Laboratory at The University of Chenab, Gujrat. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as the convener of several departmental committees, including the Board of Studies (BOS), Research Committee, and Admissions Committee. His PhD research focused on laser–matter interaction, encompassing laser spectroscopy, laser-induced plasma expansion, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), and magnetic confinement of plasma. Dr. Hussain possesses strong experimental expertise, with hands-on experience in Nd:YAG lasers, ICCD imaging, optical emission spectroscopy, and plasma diagnostic techniques and their applications. He has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, symposiums, workshops, and webinars, and has delivered a substantial number of invited and contributed academic talks. Dr. Hussain has published fourteen research articles in HEC-recognized and SCI-indexed journals, contributing significantly to advancements in science and technology. He also has extensive experience in research supervision, having successfully supervised more than twenty five MPhil students. He was recognized as an HEC-approved supervisor in 2022. Currently, Dr. Atif Hussain’s primary research interests include Nanotechnology, nano-optics, plasmonic, nanotechnology, and materials science.
