BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Muhammad Azam is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Sciences, The University of Chenab Gujrat. He earned his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the Centre of Excellence in Solid State Physics, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 2018. He worked on experimental and theoretical studies of metal oxides. He has vast exposure to work in the experimental side; synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials like perovskites and spinels. He is also working on the first principle calculations using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and currently focused on superconductivity in transition metals, their carbides and nitrides, 2D material and Hydrogen adsorption. Dr. Azam is one of the active faculty members of Physics, teaching Quantum Mechanics, Solid State Physics, theory of Condensed matter Physics and Optics. He has published several articles in reputed journals as well as presented a large number of talks to international conferences in Pakistan and abroad.
