The University of Chenab organized a clinical visit for UChenab Radiography Students to the Advance Diagnostic Centre (ADC), Islamabad, offering them an enriching hands-on learning experience. This educational trip aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical practice. The visit began with an informative orientation session led by the ADC management, introducing students to the facility’s advanced diagnostic operations. Later, the students toured major departments, including X-ray, MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology, and the Cath Lab. They observed live imaging procedures and interacted with professionals who explained the use and significance of each modality in patient diagnosis.
Throughout the visit, students were guided by Dr. Rehan Afsar, Dr. Sadia Azam, and Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Mehar, who provided expert supervision and insights into modern radiological practices. Their mentorship helped students understand how diagnostic imaging contributes to accurate disease detection and effective treatment planning. An engaging session with the Director of ADC further enriched the experience. He discussed the evolving role of radiographers in the healthcare sector and highlighted future opportunities in diagnostic imaging. This interactive dialogue encouraged students to pursue continuous learning and innovation in their professional journeys.
