The University of Chenab organized Youm-e-Azadi & Flag Hoisting Ceremony with great patriotic spirit. The event also commemorated National Minorities Day, highlighting unity, diversity, and national harmony. The Office of Student Affairs organized the ceremony across the university campus. Worthy Rector Engr. Muhammad Raza Chohan graced the memorable occasion. Honourable Pro-Rector Prof. Dr. Ghulam Hussain also joined the ceremony. Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gujrat, attended the event. Her presence added distinction and significance to the celebrations.
During the ceremony, the Rector highlighted the importance of national unity. He emphasized tolerance, mutual respect, and responsible citizenship among students. Moreover, Dr. Abdullah Masood delivered a special address. His message highlighted interfaith harmony and minority community rights. Participants reflected on the shared values that strengthen national cohesion. Meanwhile, the celebration featured patriotic songs and an inspiring flute performance. Faculty members also delivered meaningful speeches during the gathering. Additionally, a documentary presented Pakistan’s journey, heritage, and national identity. These activities encouraged reflection on the country’s progress and shared responsibilities. Special thanks went to Ms. Maqsooda, Patron, DHS, for valuable support.
