The University of Chenab conducted a series of SAR Assessment Meetings through the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) to strengthen academic quality and continuous improvement across its academic programs. Each meeting focused on an individual program, enabling comprehensive evaluation of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and encouraging departments to review their academic performance against established quality standards. The assessment meetings were coordinated under the leadership of Ms. Ishrat Bano, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, who highlighted the importance of quality assurance in achieving academic excellence. Furthermore, she emphasized that regular Self-Assessment Reports help departments evaluate learning outcomes, improve academic practices, and ensure continuous enhancement in teaching, research, and student development.
Separate assessment meetings took place for the programs including M.Phil. English Literature, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Food Science and Technology, M.Phil. Pharmacology, M.Phil. Pharmaceutics, BS Mathematics, M.Phil. Mathematics, PhD Mathematics, MS Physical Therapy, M.Phil. Physics, and M.Phil. Applied Linguistics with BS English. Faculty members from each department presented their program performance, discussed academic achievements, and identified opportunities for further improvement. During every meeting, participants reviewed curriculum effectiveness, program learning outcomes, assessment methods, faculty development, research activities, student support services, and quality enhancement initiatives.
Faculty members actively exchanged ideas and recommendations throughout the assessment process. Additionally, each session promoted collaboration, reflective evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making to enhance academic standards and educational excellence across the University.
