ORIC Faculty Capacity Building Series at UChenab

The University of Chenab organized the ORIC Faculty Capacity Building Series through the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) in collaboration with the Department of Nursing. The first seminar focused on Research Methods and provided faculty members with valuable opportunities to strengthen their research knowledge, academic writing, and scholarly competencies through practical learning. The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Rubina Inam, Principal, Department of Nursing, whose participation reflected the department’s commitment to promoting quality research and continuous professional development. Faculty members from the department attended the seminar with enthusiasm and actively engaged throughout the learning experience.

Dr. Darvaish Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Sciences, facilitated the seminar and shared practical insights into research design, methodology, and academic writing. Furthermore, he explained essential concepts related to developing research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, organizing scholarly work, and maintaining academic integrity. His interactive approach encouraged participants to exchange ideas and discuss common research challenges. Faculty members actively participated in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and explored effective strategies for improving research quality. Additionally, the seminar emphasized the importance of systematic inquiry, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices in producing impactful academic research.
