The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of Chenab offers a range of degree programs in the field of pharmacy. Overview
The administration established Pharmacy department in order to make it the focal point for the department of pharmaceutical sciences. The Pharmaceutical Sciences unit comprises of upgraded lecture halls, conference halls and meeting rooms. They are available with high-end audio-visual setting, state-of-the-arts research laboratories along with progressive supplies. The department paves way for students to be a part of various industrial units in pharmaceutical set ups. They arrange internship programs and research projects so as to implement their learning in practical filed.
Studies reveal pharmaceutical sector to be a lifesaving. Catering the clinical prospects of this field, the department of Pharmacy offers 5-years of Pharm-D (Doctor of Pharmacy). This includes two rears of MPhil Pharmaceutic as well as, MPhil Pharmacology program in accordance with the exigencies of the Pharmacy council of Pakistan.
Three Major Fields in Pharmaceutical Sector
All the three fields in pharmaceutical sector i.e., pharmacy, pharmaceutics, & pharmacology. All three of them hold a historical background as a field of arts and science. It hence deals with manufacturing and distributing medicinal product. The pharmacists also deal with various other activities in health care set ups for instance, clinical pharmaceutical settings in hospitals and community. They are part of the pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug administrative organizations, research facilitation (discovery, manufacture, delivery of drugs) and last but not the least coaching of health care staff.

Pharmacy is the ability to create medications from both organic as well as anthropogenic sources. these are conducive in the sense of curing and preventing the ailments. It is popular as the proficiency of recognizing, choosing, isolating, analyzing, standardizing, preventing, and ensuring safety from drugs. For this purpose, the department is working to produce constitutionally and occupational pharmacists. They are crucial for the interconnected working of healthcare units, hospitals, research centers as well as teaching units. They are also working in retail pharmaceutical industries and the quality control sections.
